This ILLA online seminar explores how legal linguistics engages with the growing use of Artificial Intelligence in legal translation and interpreting. Grounded in Relevance Theory, the sessions examine how meaning, intention, and communication are managed in legal contexts, highlighting the continued importance of human expertise in ensuring accurate and effective interaction, even as automated systems remain limited.
Organised by Dr Fabrizio Gallai and ILLA colleagues, the seminar is open to MA and PhD students, researchers, and practitioners in Translation & Interpreting, Linguistics, and Law.
Participation is free for ILLA members; fees apply to non-members and students.
Registration is required (max. 20 participants), and connection details will be shared upon enrolment.
